The Gomati Chakra resembles the Sudarshan Chakra, or Discus, of Lord Krishna. According to oral Vaishnava tradition, the Gomati Chakras were part of the decor of Lord Krishna’s palace in Dwarka. Salagram Kosha states that placing a Shaligram and Gomati Chakras together and worshipping them at home is highly meritorious and beneficial.
